1972 –2020
It is with sadness, love and gratitude that the family of Charlene Martha Knudsen of Sturgeon County announces her passing at the age of 48 years on November 24, 2020.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband and best friend of over 26 years, Kevin; children: Katie, Ian and Julia; parents, Bill and Catherine Postill; brothers, Everett (Shelley) Postill and Sam Postill; sisters, Sarah Bigelow and Marilyn (Kory) Schnellback; as well as numerous relatives, and friends.
Charlene grew up on a farm near Trochu, Alberta. In 1994, Charlene graduated from the University of Alberta as a Registered Nurse. A lifelong learner, Charlene obtained her Masters in Educational Psychology and was working towards her PhD in Human Ecology at the time of her cancer diagnosis in March 2020. Charlene’s compassion and enthusiasm were expressed through her love of nature, gardening, traveling and most importantly, her family & friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Ranieri for his compassion and care, as well as friends: Dr. Karenn Chan, Jane Newman, Shelby Karmaznuik and Leanne & Jerry Rose for all of their love and support.
In light of current Covid 19 restrictions, the family will hold a ‘So Long’ in her honour at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Charlene’s name to a charity of your choice.
