It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lori Fulmes on March 6, 2020. Lori was born on April 13, 1958 in Watrous, SK. She had a 34 year career with Canadian National Railways, first as an operator, then as a Rail Traffic Controller, along with some time as the first female CN Chief in Canada. Lori paved the road – or rather rail – for women on the railroad. She was a well-respected mentor and friend to all at CN until her retirement on Aug. 13, 2013. Lori’s heart became whole when she gave birth to her daughter, Ella Patricia Ahafia Fulmes on Nov. 16, 1994. When Ella was 10 months old, they were transferred to St. Albert, Alberta, where they lived for over 17 years. They were inseparable, sharing a love for the outdoors, gardening, visiting the farmers market, doting on their loved ones, and spending summers at Waskesiu Lake.

Lori is survived by her daughter, Ella Fulmes (Travis); parents Pat and Henry Fulmes; brother Greg Fulmes (Nicole); sister Penny Edwards; nieces Jacqui Easton (daughter Aly), Megan Fulmes and Carly Fulmes; and grand-fur-children Eko, Fleury and Stevie. She was predeceased by her furry friend, Bree; and cherished friends Rob and Kirk Ferguson-Uhrich.

Join us for a Celebration of Life on March 21, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Willows Golf & Country Club (382 Cartwright St., Saskatoon). Lori would want you to dress comfortably. Come and go as you please, prepare your favourite stories to share and come hungry. Donations can be made in her name to the Saskatoon SPCA.
