With great sadness, and yet great hope of heavenly reunions, we announce the sudden passing of Kathleen (“Kathy”) Margaret Magwood, age 77, of St. Albert, AB on May 12, 2021. While unexpected and seemingly “too soon” for us who loved her, we are encouraged by our great HOPE of heaven, confident that Kathy has been welcomed by her Saviour into her Heavenly Home. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Kathy was born on June 4, 1943 to Margaret and Orton Dodds in Edmonton, AB, and spent her growing up years in Ponoka, AB. While working in Ontario, she met Grant Magwood and they were married July 22, 1967. They were blessed with two children, Rob and Peggy, six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Kathy was one of the friendliest people in the world, and touched hundreds of lives through care and kindness. She was much loved by many friends in St. Albert (especially Sturgeon Valley Baptist Church), in Ontario, and around the world. She is survived by her best friend and loving husband of nearly 54 years, Grant, her children Rob (Kathleen) and Peggy (Todd) and their families, her sisters Jo Anne (Brian) Walker and Wendy (John) Crandall and their families.
Our family is grateful for the kind expressions of love and remembrance from many friends. We are planning for a private interment followed by a Celebration of Life to be announced in the future.
