Bob, beloved father, brother, and uncle, passed away on Sunday, June 9th at the Sturgeon Hospital in St. Albert at the age of 88.
Bob spent his early life in Cut Knife SK then Edmonton and Victoria. After Bob left home he worked in Edmonton, Burnaby, Prince George and finally settled in the St. Albert area. Wherever he went he enjoyed being with people, especially friends and family. He enjoyed his work life in sales, making friends wherever he travelled. Bob always had a kind word for young and old alike, never held a grudge and enjoyed helping others. He was an active member of the ACT club for 57 years and an avid Oilers fan.
Bob leaves his only son Russ (Sheila), sister Babs (Bill) Cousens, brother Barrie Clarke (Joanne), brother-in-law Art Gould, nieces Heather Appel, Laurel Cousens, Colleen Fortuna; nephews Glenn Clarke, Robert and Doug Gould as well as his former spouse Hilda. Bob was predeceased by his sister Betty Gould, niece; Shannon Smillie, nephews; Terry and Clarke Gould.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bennett and the staff of Unit 18 at the Sturgeon Community Hospital for their kindness and care of Bob while he was in their care.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at Red Willow Place, 7 Tache Street, St. Albert, AB on Friday, June 21, 2019, at 3:00 pm.
