The Russell family is sad to announce the passing of a dear wife, mother & grandmother after a long struggle with dementia. Her family was present.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband Bob, children Rob/Linda, David/Evelyn, Teresa/Greg and grandchildren Ben/Annie, Colin, Daniel, John, Carly/Wes, and great grandson Wilder. Joanne served in many volunteer roles in the community including the Meals on Wheels program and she will be remembered for her dedicating her time to St. Mathew’s Anglican Church. Joanne was known for her entertaining at home, gourmet cooking, her beautiful handmade garments and her ability to always help neighbors in need.
According to her wishes her body has been donated to anatomical research at the U of A Hospital.
A celebration will be held at a future date in her garden which she loved.
