1941 - 2022

On October 4, 2022, Connie passed away peacefully with her family by her side.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Larry of 64 years; her children, Dwayne (Carmen), Rod (Cheryl), and Guy (Tatjana); grandchildren, Spencer, Matt (Sydney), Trina (Michael), Troy (Melissa), Jordan, and Alexandra; great-grandchildren, Grady, Cayde, Palmer, Kayla, Brayden, Chanel, Ashlyn, and Tray; her siblings, Allen, Chris, Ken, Jim, Grace, Ted, and Patrick; as well other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings, Wayne and Beatrice.

Connie was born in Kenora, Ontario in April 1941.  She moved to Winnipeg at an early age and completed her schooling in Winnipeg Manitoba.  After graduating from high school, she was employed as an office clerk at Eaton’s contract division. In 1958 she met and married the Love of Her Life, Larry.  Together they lived on Hartford Avenue where they began their family with three sons.  They then became very active in the West Kildonan Memorial Community League, with Hockey and Baseball.  They met many lifelong friends which they have stayed in contact with to this day.  In 1974 Connie and Larry picked up the family and moved to the next stage of their lives in St. Albert.  Here Connie became a Supermom and Volunteer at the boys’ schools and hockey games.  She did her best to not miss any of the boy’s games, sports days at the schools, and meals to keep the boys going!

Connie loved to see the world, together she and Larry traveled to the Caribbean, Hawaii, China, Great Britain, Europe, Mexico, and every State and Province in North America. Connie’s final years were spent at Sierras on the Lake, where she made numerous close friends participating in all the social activities, with her favorites being Bingos, Casinos and road trips.
