“Put your hand on your heart and know that I’m there always.” With these words for her loved ones, Tillie has gone to her final rest, leaving a legacy of love that reaches across generations.
Tillie is survived by her loving husband, Arthur; her beloved children Darwin (Kim), Sheila (Frank) and Jason (Susan); her cherished grandchildren Jason (Vanessa), Ryan (Adrienne), Michelle, Stephanie (Matthew), Brayden (Celeste), Kristen (Craig) and Marlowe; her great-grandchildren Hannah (mother Lindsey), Liam, Cali, Willow, Everett, Paisley, Kenna, Jaxen and Kylie; and the sisters she adored, Margaret and Rosalie. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Margaret; brother George; sisters Elenore and Mary; and brothers-in-law Joe, Ken and Gerry.
Tillie’s family is deeply grateful to the doctors and staff of the Cross Cancer Institute for their caring treatment over the past two years, and those of Grey Nuns Hospital Unit 43 for the comfort they provided in her final weeks.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Oct. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, 75 Poirier Avenue, St. Albert. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your charity of choice; one of Tillie’s favourites was Catholic Social Services’ Sign of Hope.
