Brian was born in Holden Alberta and grew up in the area. He graduated from the U of A with a degree in Electrical Engineering. His work in this field took him around Canada, England and the Netherlands, biking to work whenever he could. His 5 children were born in each of the different cities he worked in. He loved the outdoors which showed in his love of gardening, biking and trips to the mountains. He shared in these adventures with his wife Dineke. They were married in 1961 and together traveled till 1969 when they settled in St. Albert to raise their family with many outdoor gatherings, celebrations and trips to the mountains.
Dineke loved to celebrate and loved to have family gatherings. She traveled many times a year to celebrate with her family. Her last trip in Feb of 2020. She was looking forward to celebrating her 90th birthday with as much of her family there as possible.
We were not able to gather then but now their 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild will be gathering for a celebration of life for Dineke and Brian at their home on May 21st from 1-4pm.
