1947 – 2021

 

Margaret Ann Elizabeth Thrun of Edmonton, Alberta passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 26 at the age of 74 years. She was a beautiful person and will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

 

Margaret was born on June 18, 1947 to Roy and Ethel Thrun in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. After spending most of her happy childhood there and in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, she and her family moved to Calgary, Alberta where she went to high school. After high school, she worked in a number of banks and as a model before getting married and moving to the Edmonton area of Alberta where she spent the greater part of her adult life.

 

Margaret was blessed with three children: Cindy (Jeremi) Schulz of Austin, Texas, Jason (Meaghan) Schulz of Calgary, Alberta, and Laurie Schulz of St. Albert, Alberta. They along with her five grandchildren: Emily, Avery, Quinn, Aviana, Grayson; two brothers: Eric Thrun of Seattle, Washington and Robert Thrun of Red Deer, Alberta; as well as many friends, family and loved ones mourn her passing.

 

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother, Margaret also loved to travel, her beloved dog Toby and chocolate. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She gave her heart to all that needed help, supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others.

 

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, Alberta.

 

All are welcome to come and help celebrate her life.

 

Her mortal remains will be laid to rest with her parents at the Port Coquitlam Cemetery in British Columbia, there to await the final summons of the Lord.
