Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Sharon; his three daughters, Rose, Amy and Leanne; his mother, Madeleine Van Brabant; his siblings, Elaine Yakimowich, Gary Van Brabant (Doris), Georgette (Robert) Honey, Dianne (Roland) Nolette, Norman (Jocelyne) Van Brabant, Larry Van Brabant (Kathleen) and Annette (Shawn) Kincade; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Gerald was predeceased by his father, Andrew Van Brabant and his brother in law, David Yakimowich.
With his bright smile and full-hearted laugh, Gerald will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Gerald's family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Stars and the many doctors and nurses that worked on and cared for him at the Royal Alexandra Hospital ICU ward and to his family doctor for his care over the years, DR. D. Zalasky.
