It is with great sadness that the family of Noreen Woitenko (nee Godfrey) announces her passing. Noreen was born on March 9, 1944 and passed away at the Youville Home on June 27, 2022 with her family at her side.

She is survived by her husband John; daughters Natasha, Lisa (Darin), and Tracy; grandchildren Kamala and Osa.  Noreen is survived by her sister Sandra (Ken), as well as nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her brother Richard.

At a young age, Noreen moved with her family from Saskatchewan to Duchess, Alberta. After relocating to Edmonton to attend university and marry her husband John, she moved to St. Albert. Her work in establishing the St. Albert Outreach High School is one example of the meaningful contributions that she made in so many people’s lives, and reflects her overflowing generosity. She will be remembered for her genuine compassion for helping others. Her unconditional support and her loving nature will be dearly missed. Above all, she was an amazing mother.

A private celebration of life will be held at a future date. Donations can be made in Noreen’s name to the St. Albert Youville Home or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
