LETTER: Lights needed at Everitt Drive and Ebony Way

"We witnessed a horrific accident of a man who ran the stop sign and T-boned a lady with three kids."

I’m wondering what it will take for the City of St. Albert to install some lights at the intersection of Everitt Drive and Ebony Way (Marshall’s / Independent Grocers). We witnessed a horrific accident of a man who ran the stop sign and T-boned a lady with three kids. The lady's truck flipped and landed on its side. I don’t think we will ever forget the sound of the collision and the children’s screams. Thankfully, it appeared everyone was able to walk away with some bumps and bruises. The gentlemen who ran the stop sign was sick that he didn’t even see it. He said he wasn’t from the area. With all the new development and Lois Hole School and retail stores, it’s time for the city to put safety first and put some lights there before another accident like this happens and someone is seriously hurt.
