MS Walk hard on the heart strings

I walked on Sunday April 26 at the MS Walk in St. Albert. I just wanted to say thanks to the participants who came out to support all of us with MS. We had a great day.

I walked on Sunday April 26 at the MS Walk in St. Albert. I just wanted to say thanks to the participants who came out to support all of us with MS.

We had a great day. Although our hearts sank when we watched the snow come down, we were proud of our family and friends who braved the day with us. It was heart-warming and sad at the same time to see so many young families. Participation in the walk usually means that someone in the family has been diagnosed with MS. It brought tears to my eyes when I saw the little boy wearing a sign that said “I'm walking for my Dad.”

I'm told that about 600 walkers have raised over $165,000 so far. This community never fails to amaze me as our walk continues to grow every year. Thanks St. Albert and thanks Mayor Nolan Crouse for your participation.
