Thank you to all those kind people who stopped to help my daughter and her friend when our dog Maggie was hit by a car on Sunday evening, June 14.

Last Remembrance Day a soldier in New Brunswick sat at home knocking back beer and coffee, a potent recipe for a wide-awake drunk. His wife left the house.

I got my taxes this week and was shocked to find that my daughter’s taxes were $100 more than mine. She lives in a 1,700 sq. ft. house on one level located on a corner lot with all the services of St. Albert. I live in a side-by-side condo.

I’m sure the people of St. Albert all mark the return of summer in different ways. For me it’s witnessing the return of our local loon population. And I’m not talking about birds.

”Recycling” and “mass transit” just makes politicians and environmentalists go giddy. I am however not convinced that they are efficient. Perhaps the analysis is withheld from the public.
