The team at Red Willow Veterinary Hospital is thrilled to win a Readers’ Choice Award in the Veterinary Practice category.

Robert Zalitach, DVM, owner of the practice, is a testament to the fact that dreams really do come true.

Dr. Zalitach always had dreams of becoming a veterinarian and owning his own hospital. In 2002, these dreams became his reality when he purchased Red Willow Veterinary Hospital.

“I love being able to help cats and dogs stay healthy and the joy that brings to their owners,” Dr. Zalitach describes of his motivation to follow that dream.

That passion is part of the reason Red Willow Veterinary Hospital was voted Favourite Veterinary Hospital this year, an award that marks the company’s first Reader’s Choice Award.

The other factor, Dr. Zalitach is quick to point out, is the Red Willow team.

“Our most popular product is the people who work here,” he explains. “People know us, and they appreciate that we try our best everyday to help them in any way we can. Our hospital emphasizes having a close relationship with our clients so that we can offer them the best options to help their pets stay healthy and provide care in times of illness or injury.”

“There are no ‘one size fits all’ services at our hospital,” he adds. “We will establish a relationship with our clients to understand their expectations and how best we can meet them.”

It’s that dedication that has helped the veterinary hospital to stand out, but they aren’t just dedicated to their clients. The team at Red Willow Veterinary Hospital is also dedicated to its community.

“Every year around Christmas,” says Dr. Zalitach, “we gather donations for a gift basket that we raffle. One hundred percent of the profits aid local charities. In addition, on an annual basis, the hospital closes for a day while the staff donate their time to help a local charity, for example by volunteering for the St. Albert Children’s Festival.”

Dr. Zalitach would like to thank his family and all of his employees, past and present, for all they have done to help shape Red Willow Veterinary Hospital.
