Behaviour of pro-choice protesters disturbing

I had the opportunity to attend the annual March For Life at the Legislature this past Thursday (May 9) and was disturbed at the double-standards of the pro-choice protesters.

I had the opportunity to attend the annual March For Life at the Legislature on May 9 and was disturbed at the double-standards of the pro-choice protesters. For one, they attempted to drown out the MC of the event, an event they had not been invited to, and during one of his speeches, began to yell, ‘Where’s the women? Let a woman speak!’

It just so happened that the next speaker was a Grade 9 girl with Down’s Syndrome, who shared her story. As she told how her mother was offered an abortion, yet chose to reject the option and bring this girl into the world, the pro-choice group yelled insults at the teenage girl, including a horrific comment about what this underage girl should do with her reproductive organs.

Over half of the pro-life marchers were women mostly under the age of 40. The speaker was a 14- or 15-year-old girl. Why do they ask women to speak and then not listen when we do?
