I would like to protest the moving and/or closing of the facilities at the Alberta Hospital. The care the patients receive at that hospital cannot be duplicated elsewhere.
Those people who have serious mental illnesses will have no chance for a cure, or even a hope for control of their symptoms.
The patents who are suffering from dementia, or less serious problems could even end up on the streets, homeless, lost and unloved or cared for at any level.
Alberta Hospital was once listed as the best care facility of its kind! Surely monetary considerations are not going to let this hospital disappear because of funding cuts and political squabbles!
The people housed in this hospital deserve the best medical help available. There are enough people suffering from depression and despair and the suicide rates rise every year. Let’s not add to this problem!
