For taxpayers of St. Albert to pay an additional $500,000 per year for 20 years in interest alone for a roadway which is essentially a bypass of St. Albert, to borrow $54 million from the province and not see construction completed for possibly 10 years, is obscene.
Stop this nonsense from our council who seem intent on breaking the bank so they can spend other people's money. Our taxes to pay for something the province should have fronted a long time ago and will possibly never pay back. Second reading to pass this borrowing bill by council by August. Please contact council to stop this nonsense – we cannot afford this. I know I am against this in a big way.
