The speedway on the eastern half of Eldorado Drive remains open for NASCAR wannabes with NO calming measures and NO enforcement. The numerous measures on the western half mean drivers try to make up time by gunning it on the straight-away in front of residences, a number with children. There is nothing calming about this dangerous disregard for our safety.
To use a favourite political dodge – transparency – the city should be transparent and post the real speed limit, e.g., 80 kph. Because this is the reality for those of us who live next to the speedway. The city's actions, or inaction, speak louder than words.
