Regarding Ray Sanborn's letter ("Clamping down on discussion would erode human freedoms," June 8)
Freedom of expression does not mean one should be allowed to spread hate and misinformation in the name of discourse. Only the privileged would think revoking a woman's bodily autonomy or barring gay customers from businesses wasn't discrimination. Discussing the removal of rights from minorities in the name of YOUR freedom of expression is no different now than it was 60 years ago. Unfortunately, the world does not change quickly. Damn shame about that.
