Gazette columnist should go back to school

This is Ken Allred’s offer of proof that the debate around global warming is still alive, and that the overwhelming evidence that climate change is a result of human activity is in debate (St. Albert Gazette, Commentary, March 30). Many learned scientists ... Really? So the UN, NASA, the U.S. military, the Royal Society, the World Meteorological Organization, etc., etc. are all mistaken. This seems logical. So long as you don’t believe in science or evidence.

It would seem that Ken Allred should perhaps head back to school to engage in digital literacy. We teach that now, starting in grade school. That way he could find out the difference between credible internet sources and those that are farcical, slanted, corrupt and just plain crazy.

Maybe after figuring out how to spot fake and discredited web information, he, too, will realize that climate change is happening and can join with the students at the next protest. Or not. The bunker mentality of the ignorant and arrogant is rarely broken by enlightenment.
