Increasing transparency for Gazette’s Our View editorial

I enjoy reading the Gazette , and while I don't always agree with some of the views that get shared in the Opinion section, I understand that different people have different perspectives.

I enjoy reading the Gazette, and while I don't always agree with some of the views that get shared in the Opinion section, I understand that different people have different perspectives.

What I am however confused by is that while all other commentary in the Opinion section clearly identifies who the actual author is to enhance transparency and support accountability, the Gazette’s Our View editorial doesn’t.

In other sections of the Gazette, it is clear to me who the staff writer is when a particular perspective is being shared, yet I don’t understand why the Gazette’s Our View editorial is treated differently.

I can’t speak for other readers, but for me, understanding who penned a particular opinion is just as insightful as what was said.

I hope the name of the author is something that could be incorporated into future regular Our View editorials (as I assume it changes), but if not, please help me understand why.
