I am so much different, than any other parishioner
My spirit needs attention, from a miraculous practitioner
Holy Cross, Holy Angel, Holy Family, Holy Grail
What happens if I falter when I’m not allowed to fail
Searching for an existence, that is not so well defined
So many large cathedrals, so egotistically aligned
If you want my attention, you need to make it real
Don’t attract me to a hierarchy, to me that’s no big deal
Too many strict traditions, built from times gone by
Reading from a scripture and worshipping some guy
Don’t talk about the devil, or the sins that I’ve created
Scolding me’s not useful and I don’t care to be berated
I need to think about my future, not so much about the past
How to get along together and make my friendships last
