Nuclear power won't be healthy

The Alberta Government has announced 65 per cent of the people want nuclear power, giving us a real Christmas present. Like all government programs we get to pay first for the transmission lines, then pay again for the nuclear reactor.

I believe it’s the United States’ residents that are getting the present. Other sources have reported that the survey is 55 per cent against nuclear. Canadian nuclear representatives tell us radioactive gases are clean air. Along with the costs of nuclear, we get plutonium, iodine 131, strontium 90, cesium 137 and tritium, along with 200 other radioactive isotopes. Will this make us healthier?

Future generations will pay for our mistakes forever and they will have to clean up the nuclear contamination we created. Is this what you want?

Taxpayers’ money should work for the people. Deregulate power generation. Allow and subsidize micro power and the people will supply real green power as Europe is now doing. And we will not need transmission lines that lose huge amounts of transmission power. Producing power where it is needed will save taxpayers billions of dollars. Without nuclear we can produce healthy food for the world.
