Kids find crystal meth in a shrub

ST. PAUL - A group of children made a dangerous discovery on April 18, while playing outside.

At about 5 p.m., a group of children playing on their bicycles in the area of 47th Avenue, between 51st Street and 52nd Street, in St. Paul, found a bag containing crystal meth (methamphetamine) in a shrub. The suspected drugs were found in a superman glasses bag.

"The children, with the help of a parent, called for St Paul RCMP to attend and pick up the bag as well as its contents," according to RCMP. "The bag contained nine prepacked baggies and one larger bag with total weight of 20 grams of methamphetamine." 

St. Paul RCMP would like to thank the children for calling police to have the substance picked up.

RCMP would like to encourage everyone to call the police if they find any unknown substance.
