BANFF – A water main break has caused the closure of a stretch of Banff Avenue near Moose Street.
Both northbound and southbound Banff Avenue lanes are closed from Elk to Moose Street. Moose Street, between Banff Avenue and Beaver Street, is also closed to traffic.
Town of Banff officials say utility personnel and fire crews are on scene and residents and visitors are being asked to avoid the area.
“There is no estimate of when the road will be reopened,” according to a Town notice.
The Town says water service may be interrupted at the Montaine and Alpine Apartment buildings.
Roam Public Transit will reroute from the high school stop.
