RCMP investigating possible homicide in Westlock County after two bodies found

WESTLOCK — The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating a possible homicide involving two deceased individuals within Westlock County. 

An RCMP press release states that at 8 a.m. on Dec. 6, the Westlock RCMP received a report of a homicide that took place at a residence within the county.

Upon arrival, RCMP located a deceased 57-year-old male and a 54-year-old female. Both individuals had resided within the home. 

The release states that Westlock RCMP officers contained the residence and the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit was dispatched to take over the investigation. 

While the investigation is ongoing, the unit is not currently looking for any suspects, the release adds.
