Highway 2 northbound lanes north of Airdrie are open after a Wednesday morning collision but another collision on the city's south side has reduced traffic on Highway 2 to one lane.
RCMP provided a road update at 8:35 a.m. April 17 noting Highway 2 north of Airdrie is open although travel is not recommended.
An earlier press release said the northbound lanes of Highway 2 at Highway 72 south of Crossfield had been closed.
Police now say Highway 2 northbound has been reduced to one lane at 40th Avenue on Airdrie's south side.
"Road conditions in the Airdrie area continue to deteriorate with Airdrie Fire, Fire and EMS attending multiple collisions," police said in the update.
