Watching Ukrainian civilians stand in front of tanks and defend not only their homes but their freedom should cause us all to regain our love of liberal democracy and the benefits it brings us. We need to move beyond this tiresome infighting over COVID rules and devote our entire national energy to ensuring Russian President Vladimir Putin loses this bloody war.
I'm calling on all of our elected officials to realize that this is an all-out war on democracy and to bring all our humanitarian, financial, and military resources to help Ukrainians defend themselves. Future generations will thank us.
