A Nightmare on Elm Street (18A)
Freddy Krueger returns in this contemporary reboot of the 1980s horror series. A group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another … but when they sleep, there is no escape. Donning Freddy’s trademark fedora, red-and-green striped sweater, and four-bladed glove is Jackie Earle Haley. Samuel Bayer makes his feature film directorial debut.
Alice in Wonderland (PG)

Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen’s reign of terror.
The Backup Plan (PG)
After years of dating, Zoe (Jennifer Lopez) has decided waiting for the right one is taking too long. Determined to become a mother, she commits to a plan, makes an appointment and decides to go it alone. That same day, Zoe meets Stan (Alex O’Loughlin) — a man with real possibilities. Trying to nurture a budding relationship and hide the early signs of pregnancy becomes a comedy of errors for Zoe and creates confusing signals for Stan. When Zoe nervously reveals the reason for her unpredictable behaviour, Stan commits fully and says he’s in.
Clash of the Titans (PG)

Date Night (PG)
Claire and Phil Foster (Tina Fey and Steve Carell) are a suburban couple slogging through their daily lives and marriage. Even their ‘date nights’ of dinner and a movie have become routine. To reignite the marital spark, they visit a trendy Manhattan bistro, where a case of mistaken identity hurtles them through the city at breakneck speeds, into non-stop adventure. Remembering what made them so special together, Phil and Claire take on a couple of corrupt cops, a top-level mobster — and a razed cabbie — as their date becomes a night they’ll never forget.
Furry Vengeance (PG)
Brendan Fraser stars as a real estate developer whose latest project threatens the homes of the local forest creatures. The woodland critters don’t want their homes disturbed, and seek comical revenge by turning a peaceful cul-de-sac under construction into a battlefield of epic proportions. Led by an incredibly clever raccoon, the diverse group of animals is far more intelligent, cunning and resilient than our hero expected.
The Ghost Writer (PG)
When a successful British ghost writer, The Ghost agrees to complete the memoirs of former British Prime Minister Adam Lang, his agent assures him it’s the opportunity of a lifetime. But the project seems doomed from the start — not least because his predecessor on the project, Lang’s long-term aide, died in an unfortunate accident. As The Ghost works, he begins to uncover clues suggesting his predecessor may have stumbled on a dark secret linking Lang to the CIA — and that somehow this information is hidden in the manuscript he left behind. Resonating with topical themes, this atmospheric and suspenseful political thriller is a story of deceit and betrayal on every level — sexual, political and literary.
Gunless (PG)
When notorious American gunslinger The Montana Kid (Paul Gross) staggers into the tiny Canadian hamlet of Barclay’s Brush, life for the town’s 17 inhabitants is about to get exciting. The Kid immediately gets into an unfortunate altercation with Jack (Tyler Mane), the town’s surly blacksmith, which leads to The Kid ‘calling him out’ for some good old frontier justice — a showdown. But in a place totally ill-prepared to deal with a classic gunfight and without a single working pistol to be found, adhering to the code of the American Wild West may prove difficult.
How to Train Your Dragon (PG)
Set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, and based on the book by Cressida Cowell, this action comedy tells the story of Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t exactly fit in with his tribe’s longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges he and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view.
After confessing his identity as Iron Man, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) comes under fire from the United States government, which demands he hand over the powerful Iron Man suit. As the government attempts to create a duplicate suit with the assistance of Stark’s rival, Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell), Tony’s long time friend Jim Rhodes (Don Cheadle) is stuck in the middle of the conflict. A new dangerous foe emerges in Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke), who creates an alternate and powerful persona known as Whiplash in order to exact revenge on the Stark family once and for all.
Leslie Wright (Queen Latifah) is a straight-shooting physical therapist who gets the gig of a lifetime working with NBA All-Star Scott McKnight (Common). All is going well until Leslie finds herself falling for Scott, forcing her to choose between the gig and the tug-of-war inside her heart. Oblivious to her romantic overtures, McKnight is instead drawn to the affections of Leslie’s childhood friend Morgan (Paula Patton), who has her sights set on being an NBA trophy wife. The Losers (14A)
The Losers centres around the members of an elite special forces unit sent to the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. But the team — Clay (Dean Morgan), Jensen (Chris Evans), Roque (Idris Elba), Pooch (Columbus Short) and Cougar (Oscar Jaeneda) — soon find that they have become the target of a deadly double cross, instigated from the inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max (Jason Patric). Making good use of the fact that they are now presumed dead, the group goes deeply undercover in a dangerous plot to clear their names and even the score with Max. They are joined by the mysterious Aisha (Zoe Saldana), a beautiful operative with her own agenda, who is more than capable of scoring a few points of her own. Working together, when they’re not arguing amongst themselves, they have to stay one step ahead of the globetrotting Max.
