The Strumbellas are back with a new album and the first leg of a North Amercian tour stopping in 10 Canadian cities.

The stomping, handclapping, alt-country/rock fivesome are releasing their fifth album in the New Year. Part Time Believer will be available Feb. 9, 2024, followed by a concert stop at Edmonton’s Midway Music Hall on Feb. 14.

Now with Jimmy Chauveau on board as lead vocalist, The Strumbellas spent the last four years, writing, recording, and whittling 50 songs down to 12. Never one to pass up an opportunity, the two-time Juno recipients harness a vivid sound that just gets bigger and bolder with each album.

In describing the album, David Ritter, who handles piano, organ, percussion and vocals said, “People often feel like things are escaping them, or they’re trying to grab on to something – happiness, gratitude, professional or personal goals...Even if they get the thing they want, it doesn’t feel the way they thought it would. A lot of these songs are about trying to figure out why we’re all feeling this way, and how we can find more peace in our lives.”

Tickets go on sale for the 18 plus show on Friday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. Visit livenation.ca.
