This is a picture of me settling down underneath the table. having just come back from my daily walk. I have learned to walk quite well on the leash and after one or two corrections at the start of the walk I do very well. I was surrendered to the Northern Alberta Society for Animal Protection (NASAP) when my family moved somewhere where they could not take me.

They had had me since I was a puppy. My mom is a black and white border collie so I am half border collie and half something else that gave me my lovely red colour. I grew up in a home with little children and I am very patient with kids and good with other dogs also. I love playing with the other two dogs in my foster home.

I love to play fetch and will retrieve a ball for hours if you let me. I am housetrained and will go in a crate if necessary. I am altogether a well-behaved, well-mannered, eager-to-please dog who is really hoping that his forever home comes along soon.

My favourite thing (apart from fetching balls) is to lay in front of the sofa and chew on a Kong while my family goes about their business. Sometimes the two-year-old little girl who also lives here comes and sits beside me and we just hang out together.

My foster dad says that I will make an excellent companion for whatever family is lucky enough to adopt me. I really hope you might think that lucky person is you, so please give me a chance to show you what a great dog I am and call NASAP at 780-922-0250 and ask about Diesel.

I am neutered and microchipped and I am three years old. If you have a computer you can go online to www.nasap.ca and click on the “adopt me” link underneath my picture.

I’m a lovely eight-month-old, cream-coloured, male tabby. I came into NASAP’s care through the Black Gold pound with my sister Avril (she has already been adopted, lucky duck).

I’m an outgoing fellow who is very affectionate and loves to play. I much prefer the indoors because I am safe and sound there and I can always find lots of entertainment around my foster home. As with all NASAP cats, my adoption fee includes my neuter, microchip, tattoo, vaccinations, deworming and FIV/feline leukemia testing. So I’m healthy and ready to go to my forever home. Please inquire about adopting me.
