A clinic just for cats is opening in St. Albert. After hearing from several cat owners that they don’t like going to the vet because it stresses their cats to be near dogs, Tudor Glen Veterinary Hospital decided to open a second location. La maison des chats is expected to open in early June at 12 Inglewood Drive.

The cat-only veterinary clinic hopes to fight the misconception that cats don’t need the same level of care as dogs, said operations director Nathan Schenn.

“We have found that cat owners are really wanting a calm and stress-free environment for their feline friends,” he said. “That is what we are providing.”
