Careit Urban Deli will open at The Shops at Boudreau toward the end of November, the Edmonton shop recently announced on its Facebook page.
The business serves everything from meat and cheese, to sandwiches, salads and soups. The deli also prides itself in selling local fare through partnerships with farmers and ranchers around Alberta.
Cuts of meat use “no hormones or antibiotics,” said the deli’s website.

LoveYou Kickboxing is a new kickboxing course offering a non-combative atmosphere and all-female environment in St. Albert.
The workouts are high-energy and mirror the intensity of a fighter’s routine with no risk of getting hurt, a press release stated.
Classes are partner-based with partners alternating between the kickboxer and the pat holder position. Participants are taught different techniques to punch, kick and hold the pad.
LoveYou Kickboxing will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Grace Family Church in St. Albert, starting Sept. 23, 2014.

A new Tim Hortons will open in North St. Albert at 770 St. Albert Trail. The store will be located within the Petro-Canada gas station beside Future Shop.
An official opening date has not been announced.
But an employee at the gas station told the Gazette that a preliminary opening was planned for Sept. 26, pending completion of the restaurant’s construction.
