It’s show time

A local realtor has been selected to star on a realty television show competing against other local realtors to win a listing.

Erin Willman with RE/MAX Professionals has been selected to participate on Seller’s Market.

The television show has agents in the area competing against each other every week over the course of 14 episodes. At the end of each episode sellers will select one agent to put their home up for sale.

“I love listing so I thought the show would be suited to me,” she said. “Every week it will be a new house … it’s a fresh concept.”

She arrived at a seminar in Edmonton where she auditioned for the show. When she found out she was accepted, she said she was excited.

“I thought it was an amazing opportunity,” she said.

Filming will take place in the fall of 2018 and will air in the spring of 2019.

Willman has been a realtor for 12 years. She won the 2014 hall of fame award at RE/MAX and has been a platinum award winner with the company since 2014. She said last year she was also named the top female real estate agent in the office.

Two heads are better than one

Century 21 Masters of St. Albert has merged with Century 21 Vantage of Edmonton into one office, retaining the name Century 21 Masters.

James Mabey and Geneva Tetreault are now co-owners. Mabey said the main office in St. Albert will stay in the city.

“We’ve always had a really close relationship and earlier this year we started to work on some plans to bring the two offices together,” he said.

When Mabey was in high school Tetreault was an assistant to his mother, who was also a real estate agent. They also served on the Edmonton Real Estate Board.

The merged company has over 100 real estate agents serving St. Albert, Edmonton and Stony Plain.

“For St. Albert this gives people a lot of selection in terms of the realtors they have to choose from,” he said. “We’re adding even more talent to our existing pool of people.”
