Between 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 29 and Tuesday morning, May 31, someone broke into the St. Albert Christian Reformed Church located on Gate Ave. The church offices’ desks had drawers left open and paperwork tossed around. The only item found stolen was a laptop.

This same church was broken into twice in February 2011. Overnight, between Feb. 16 and 17, someone broke into the church through a basement window. There was a fair amount of blood found inside the church, which leads the RCMP to believe the suspect(s) were injured while committing this crime. Nothing appeared stolen at that time. Overnight, between Feb. 22 and 23, someone again broke into this church through a basement window and this time a computer monitor was stolen.

On Saturday, May 28 at about 11:30 p.m., someone broke into a residence located on Montcalm Cres. Entry was made through the front door and a quantity of belongings was stolen. Included in the stolen items were jewelry, a plasma TV, a laptop and an X-Box. A suspect was seen at the residence, but he stated that he was a friend of the homeowner and that he had permission to use the homeowner's truck to move some items from the residence. The suspect, who spoke with an extremely confident manner, loaded the stolen items into the truck and left the residence. The suspect’s description is: about 5-8 to 5-10 in height, with a moustache that is grey in color and very thick; his build was thicker through the chest and he had a husky voice. He was wearing a dark baseball cap with a sport logo on the front; dark pants and a lighter shirt with the sleeves rolled to the elbow.

Over the May long weekend, between May 20 and 23, there were three break and enter crimes to residences in St. Albert. Two residences on Lorraine Cres. were broken into. At one residence, the suspect(s) tried to pry open the rear door, but entered through a window instead. A quantity of jewelry and some alcohol were stolen. In a second residence nearby, entry was gained by prying the back door. A laptop computer and some cash was stolen. In the neighbouring area, on Mission Avenue, another residence was broken into through a bedroom window. Jewelry was stolen from this home.

Sometime overnight between Sunday, May 22, and Monday, May 23, person(s) unknown vandalized some equipment at a new car wash being built for the ESSO adjacent to Fountain Tire on St. Albert Trail. Hoses and electrical wire were cut and the copper electrical wire was stolen. The damage left behind was extensive and repairs to the damaged equipment are reported to exceed $10,000.

On Tuesday, May 3, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., someone broke into a residence located on Fermont St. The front door and a basement window were damaged and several items were stolen, including a TV and laptop computer.
