The City of St. Albert announced more event cancellations Friday.

In a media release, the city said it is cancelling the Grosvenor Pool Dog Swim, Servus Place Halloween Haunt, Baggataway Lacrosse Tournament, Rotary Ribfest and Humboldt Broncos Tournament.

The decision was made by St. Albert's emergency advisory committee on June 4.

The city stated the dog swim is cancelled because aquatics facilities are currently part of the third phase of Alberta's reopening strategy, which means the Grosvenor Outdoor Pool will not be opening for the 2020 season.

The Halloween Haunt is cancelled because the city does not expect physical distancing and gathering size restrictions to be lifted by October. The event typically welcomes 6,000 people each year to Servus Place.
