The woman found guilty of stabbing a local realtor to death in 2006, is back behind bars for kidnapping and robbing a 16-year-old girl at knifepoint last week.

Edmonton police arrested Lisa Ann McKay on June 5 in connection with a robbery the day before. McKay is accused of abducting a teenage girl and forcing her to withdraw cash from several ATMs in downtown Edmonton.

The 32-year-old was previously convicted of manslaughter in the death of St. Albert real estate agent William Edward Maloney in February 2006, for which she served almost 6 and a half years in jail.

The pair met when McKay was 17 years old and working as a prostitute in Edmonton. They had an ongoing relationship for eight years, which included Maloney bailing McKay out of jail several times and the pair frequently using drugs together.

On the night of Maloney’s death, the two were consuming alcohol, cocaine and sleeping pills when McKay stabbed the 63-year-old to death with a kitchen knife in his Lacombe Park home.

McKay fled the scene with Maloney’s personal mail, credit and bank cards. She was released in November 2012. She now faces three counts of robbery, assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, kidnapping, uttering threats and fraud.
