A motorcycle driver is dead after losing control of his bike and crashing into the ditch on Highway 2 by Morinville. RCMP were called to the accident just south of the Highway 2 and secondary highway 642 overpass around 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday.
A motorcycle driver is dead after losing control of his bike and crashing into the ditch on Highway 2 by Morinville.
RCMP were called to the accident just south of the Highway 2 and secondary highway 642 overpass around 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday.
Witnesses said the driver was leaving Morinville and merging southbound onto Highway 2 when he lost control and crashed into the west ditch. Emergency services, including STARS, tried to safe his life but the 33-year-old Edmonton man died at the scene.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation but police do not believe that road conditions contributed to the accident.
