My name is Tulip and I’m a 10-month-old, shorthaired light brown female tabby cat. I was brought to the Beaumont Pound by some caring people from a Leduc business in mid-February. I was completely emaciated and suffering from an abscessed bite wound on my front foot. NASAP was able to quickly provide me with antibiotics and lots of nutritious food to get me healthy. I have been putting on weight, feeling much better and showing my lovely personality. I constantly purr whenever someone is near and I love to play and bat around my toys and string. I’m an outgoing and adaptable young lap cat and I could most likely companion with other friendly animals and respectful children after a proper introduction. I’m looking for a loving and warm indoor-only home as I have had my fill of the outdoors. I’ll be ready to be spayed soon once I have put on some more weight. Please contact NASAP about meeting me. Gigi is a sweetheart of a gal who is a little overweight and needs to lose about three to four pounds. Gigi is six years old. She loves attention. She travels well in the car and is quiet in her foster home. She has now been spayed and had some teeth removed. Her nasal passages have also been enlarged during her surgery and she has recovered well from all of that. Gigi also has two luxating patellas (trick knees) graded at stage three or four but we are opting against surgery at this time. She is taking glucosamine to help her joints. Gigi is a happy girl who gets on well with other dogs, cats and kids. Her foster home will work on her diet and walking off those extra pounds. We hope that Gigi's new home will keep her continuous weight management in mind as well. She does not see out of her damaged right eye and her left eye is highly pigmented, causing her vision problems. The bad eye doesn't seem to bother her at the moment so, upon advice from the vet, it will not be removed. It was determined the hyperpigmentation is almost always caused by abrasions and small injuries. Gigi's atrophied other eye is almost surely the result of an injury. In order to stop and even reverse the pigmentation in her good eye, Gigi will need cortisone eye drops and a re-evaluation in four months. She was once more checked over and is good for adoption.
