There’s still no candidate in Ward 3 of the Sturgeon School Division.
No candidate came forward on nomination day, Sept. 23, and nominations remained open for one week.
“We heard from Alberta Education late yesterday afternoon that our nominations continue to be open to Friday, October 4 or earlier if we receive nomination papers,” stated returning officer Iva Paulik via email on Tuesday.
Ward 3 is named Alcomdale/Villeneuve. It is located on the west side of Sturgeon School Division.
Nomination papers can be dropped off at the Sturgeon School Division office located at 9820 104 St. in Morinville.
