Officers from the St. Albert RCMP detachment’s crime reduction unit executed a search warrant last month uncovering marijuana, cash and guns.

The warrant was executed Feb. 24 at a home in the Mission neighbourhood, where police say five people were living.

Officers seized a shotgun and rifle in the raid along with 60 grams of marijuana and $3,200 in cash. As part of provincial seizure laws the officers also seized a 2002 Chevrolet Impala.

Two people, Christina Danielle Hennebury, 22 and Lucas Parker, 21, have been charged with possession of marijuana for the purposes of trafficking, simple possession of marijuana and possession of the proceeds of crime.

Schoepp said the police are still looking at possible weapons charges stemming from the two firearms, as well as possible charges against the other three people in the house.

“They are trying to determine how they are all related in the incident.”

Both Hennebury and Lucas were released on $1,000 cash bail and will make their first court appearances on March 12.
