Police seek info on vandalism, hit and run

The St. Albert Crime Stoppers Association is asking for your assistance in solving the following crimes: Vandalism Sometime between 9 p.m. on June 4 and 5 a.m. on June 5, unknown individual(s) smashed a window at Fountain Park Recreation Centre.

Vandalism

Sometime between 9 p.m. on June 4 and 5 a.m. on June 5, unknown individual(s) smashed a window at Fountain Park Recreation Centre. Suspect(s) threw a manhole cover at the window but no entry was gained to Fountain Park pool and nothing was stolen. The replacement cost of the window is approximately $400.

Hit and run

On May 28, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a black Hyundai Santa Fe was stopped at a red light on St. Albert Trail and Giroux Road. While waiting for the light to turn green, a maroon-coloured car attempted to squeeze past the Santa Fe into the Giroux Road left turning lane and hit the driver's side of the Santa Fe. The Caucasian male driving the maroon car did not stop and took off on Giroux Road.

St. Albert RCMP is looking for your help on these crimes. If you have any information about this or any incident, call the St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700, or if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You do not need to reveal your identity.
