The RCMP is looking for help identifying four men who attacked and robbed another earlier this month.

The attack happened on Jan. 8 at around 10 p.m. when the man was walking near the corner of Sir Winston Churchill and Gatewood Avenue.

The four men drove up in an older model red Honda Civic, jumped the lone man and robbed him of money and identification.

Const. M.J. Burrows with the St. Albert RCMP said the victim didn’t know his assailants and could only provide limited descriptions.

“He couldn’t identify them other than what I put in the description.”

The description of the four men is that three were Caucasian and one was Asian. The Asian male was between 25 and 30 years old, five-feet-ten with an athletic build and was wearing a black shirt and jeans.

One of the Caucasian males was approximately the same age and was about six feet tall and around 220 pounds. He was wearing a blue hat, white coat and jeans.

Beyond being Caucasian males, the victim could not provide a description of the other two men who attacked him.

Burrows said the victim’s injuries were relatively minor, but the detachment is still very eager to find his attackers.

“He had superficial cuts and we took him to hospital and was released.”

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any other information about it is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or the St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700.
