In the 20th year of its existence, Take It or Leave It has become a staple event for city residents. With some restrictions, residents were able to drop off any household items they no longer wanted. Anyone else was welcome to take those items home. Any items not claimed by the end of the day were taken to the landfill.

Among the items dropped off were lawn mowers, patio table sets, leather furniture, weight sets, bicycles and furniture, according to a city news release. The most “unique items” dropped off were two windsurfing sets complete with surfboards and sails.

The St. Albert Food Bank was also able to collect 442 pounds of food as well as another $200 in cash donations.
