Thieves target trucks

The St. Albert Crime Stoppers Association is asking for your assistance in solving the following crimes:

Attempted thefts of vehicles

Sometime between 6 p.m. on Sept. 1 and 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 2, an unknown individual(s) attempted to steal a truck, which was parked in a parking lot near 77 Element Drive. The truck, a 1998 green Ford Ranger, was locked but the culprit(s) smashed the rear passenger window to gain entry and the steering column was cracked.

On the same night, another truck was parked in a parking lot near 77 Element Drive, and an unknown individual(s) attempted to steal a 1999 red Ford F250. The truck was locked but the culprit(s) gained entry through the driver's side rear window. The ignition was damaged and it would appear a pry bar was used to open the rear driver's side window and the driver's side keyhole.
