The St. Albert Community Information & Volunteer Centre has many volunteer opportunities to choose from and can help find the right fit for you, even if you are not sure of what that might be. Would you like to get out for four hours a week and be a part of this fun St. Albert community organization? In this position you will join a reception team in an office setting, answering telephones, providing information to clients and doing some computer work. The shift currently available is Monday morning.

Be a part of this family-oriented, community-supported event that makes a difference in the lives of Canadians living with multiple schlerosis (MS). This one-day event to fundraise for MS will be held at the St. Albert Curling Club on Sunday, April 29. Walk volunteers are needed to assist at the finish line to cheer walkers as they cross the finish line and give out items to the walkers. Volunteer as an individual, group or as a family.

Help to promote the appreciation of, and participation in, the performing arts in our community by assisting at the St. Albert Rotary Music Festival, March 31 through April 30. Assist with processing young performers entered in the festival, at venues throughout St. Albert. Shifts are Monday through Friday, mornings, afternoons or evenings, and are flexible.

Assist the executive director at this local non-profit organization, using your computer skills and excellent telephone skills. You will be conducting program research, scheduling appointments and doing various other administrative duties. Shifts are flexible.

Get involved and assist with this fun St. Albert event, Sunday, April 15. Assistance needed with route set up, route marshals, water and food stations, and hospitality. Come out and enjoy the outdoors, and lend a helping hand at the same time.

Do you have an interest in crime prevention and are you looking for an opportunity to serve in our community? This St. Albert organization is looking for a director to serve on its board of directors, to assist with ongoing crime prevention programs. Help this organization to provide our community with a more secure and safe place to live every day.

Do you have some time to share each week with someone in need of some companionship? Share your gift of listening and good conversation as you visit with this individual and share your love of playing dominoes together, or enjoy weekly visits with another individual as you help by driving him to appointments and on errands. Many other opportunities exist as well, with others in need of a friendly visitor.
