Wildrose nominees to speak at town hall meetings

It could come down to two opportunities to speak their piece for four nominees wanting to become the new Wildrose Alliance candidate in Athabasca-Sturgeon-Redwater in the upcoming provincial election.

Early May will see a pair of town hall meetings for area Wildrose Alliance party members.

Looking to state their case to party members will be Smoky Lake County Coun. Lori Danyluk, social worker Lauri Genert of Thorhild, Athabasca resident Travis Olson and Sturgeon County Mayor Donald Rigney.

The town hall meetings will be held May 3 at 7 p.m., at the Athabasca Seniors Centre and May 6 at 7 p.m. at the Radway Ukrainian Cultural Centre.

The nominee for this riding in the next election will be selected at the end of May through mail-in ballot.
