On Sunday they host the second-place Sherwood Park Kings (10-3-2) at 2:30 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena.

The Raiders have won four in a row and five of their last six games.

Meanwhile, assistant captain Jayden Hart is tied for third spot in league scoring with 26 points, on 10 goals and 16 assists in 16 games.

Carson Samoridny (12-9-21) and Shane Brolly (8-8-16) also rank among the leading scorers.

The league’s top goalie for the best defensive team (33 GA) is Tanner Kovacs (7-1-2), with a 1.34 GAA, .944 save percentage and two shutouts.

Wyatt Hoflin (4-2) is ninth with a 2.86 GAA.

The puck drops today at 1:15 p.m. between the St. Albert Flyers and CAC United Cycle at Akinsdale Arena.

In the north conference of the Alberta Minor Midget AAA Hockey League the Flyers (11-1) trail the first-place Sherwood Park Squires (11-1-3) by three points with three games in hand. The CAC (1-10-1) is stuck in last place.

The eighth-straight win by the Flyers was 4-3 over the third-place SSAC Bulldogs (9-4-1) Nov. 14 in Edmonton. Braeden Farge (seventh) scored the game winner with 2:44 to play. Brenden Cunningham (fourth), Blake Bosch (third) and Jake Mykitiuk (15th) also potted goals. Landon Bow (7-0, 2.14 GAA) stopped 28 shots.

The Flyers and SSAC play again Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. at Akinsdale.

In the conference scoring race, Mykitiuk is second overall with 27 points. Gabriel Chabot (8-10-18) and Sebastien Auray (7-11-18) are tied for 11th place.

The bantam AAA female St. Albert Raiders face off against the Calgary Outlaws tonight at 7 p.m. at Performance Arena.

The Raiders (7-4-4) and Outlaws (9-4-1) led their respective divisions, prior to games played Friday, when St. Albert hosted the Lloydminster Ice Cats (7-5-1) but the score was unavailable at press time.

Last weekend in the Alberta Major Bantam Female Hockey League, the Raiders blanked the Rangers 3-0 in Calgary and tied the Rocky Mountain Raiders 2-2 in Cochrane.

The Raiders outshot the Rangers 45-29. Posting her third shutout of the season was Sarah Murray (7-4-4, 1.93 GAA, .912 save percentage). Mackenzie Koep, Morgan Loroff and Jenna Jewell potted goals.

Shots were 29-26 for the Raiders against Rocky Mountain (6-4-1). They let a 2-0 lead after the first period slip away.

In team scoring, Koep is the leader with 14 points. Eva Lovsin is the top goal producer with nine and is second in points with 11.
