TORONTO — Some of the most active companies traded Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (20,111.51, up 121.15):

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (TSX:AQN). Utilities. Down $2.95, or 19.24 per cent, to $12.34 on 16.8 million shares.

Hut 8 Mining Corp. (TSX:HUT). Capital Markets. Down 20 cents, or 8.62 per cent, to $2.12 on 7.2 million shares.

Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX:ACB). Healthcare. Up 28 cents, or 15.82 per cent, to $2.05 on 7.1 million shares.

Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Energy. Up $1.07, or 2.24 per cent, to $48.77 on 6.9 million shares.

Enbridge Inc. (TSX:ENB). Energy. Up 95 cents, or 1.74 per cent, to $55.47 on 6.7 million shares.

Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX:WEED). Healthcare. Up 52 cents, or 10.22 per cent, to $5.61 on 6.2 million shares.

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (TSX:AQN). Utilities. Down $2.95, or 19.24 per cent, to $12.34 on 16.8 million shares. Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. reported a $195.2-million loss in its latest quarter and cut its financial guidance for the year. The power utility, which keeps its books in U.S. dollars, says it lost 29 cents per share for the quarter ended Sept. 30 compared with a loss of US$27.9 million or five cents per share in the same quarter last year. Revenue totalled US$666.7 million, up from US$528.6 million a year earlier.

Hydro One Ltd. (TSX:H). Utilities. Down 39 cents, or 1.14 per cent, to $33.96. Hydro One Ltd. reported a third-quarter profit of $307 million, up from $300 million in the same quarter last year. The power utility said the profit amounted to 51 cents per diluted share for the quarter ended Sept. 30. The result compared with a profit of 50 cents per diluted share in the third quarter of 2021.
